2022 ACOMMS FINALISTS ANNOUNCED

Sydney, 13 July 2022 – Communications Alliance is proud to announce the 2022 finalists in the communications industry’s premier awards for excellence, the ACOMMS, which recognise exemplary achievement across 13 categories of endeavour.

The 2022 ACOMM winners will be honoured at a gala dinner on the evening of 25 August at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney, attended by the Federal Minister for Communications, The Hon. Michelle Rowland MP and the Shadow Minister for Communications, Sarah Henderson MP. Minister Rowland will deliver a keynote address at the event.

The short-listed nominees in all award categories are a showcase of talent from across the sector, illustrative of the industry’s innovation to harness the benefits of next-generation networks, connectivity solutions, transformed customer service approaches and available-anywhere, advanced services and applications.

Communications Alliance CEO, John Stanton said: “the 2022 ACOMMs finalists powerfully reflect the prominent areas of innovation and technological advancement driving the sector, including a significant trend toward network and service solutions that can be customer-managed.

“For enterprise and SME customers, superb solutions are becoming more common, that enable them to drive key parameters around the provisioning, configuration and delivery of the services on which their corporations rely.

“This year we received 72 nominations for the ACOMMs – a record. Many of the judges have also praised the quality of the exploits by industry members, on which they are adjudicating.

The accelerating drive for greater diversity and inclusion within the workforces and working environments of players in the sector id also evident

It’s also interesting to see the increasingly integrated use of terrestrial and orbital infrastructure within solutions.

Also of course, we see evidence in many nominations of the agile and inventive responses by the communications sector to customers facing adversity through the tragic consequences of natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There are great stories behind the commitment to excellence on display from all finalists. I congratulate and wish them well in the 2022 ACOMM Awards,” Mr Stanton said.

The ACOMM Awards are proudly presented by Communications Alliance.

Symbio is the 2022 Title Sponsor of the ACOMMS, with Meta Silver Sponsor, Bird & Bird, Ericsson, and Mirait Bronze Sponsors.
