The Interactive Gambling Code aims to:

• establish confidence in and encourage the use of the Internet;
• provide a mechanism for ISPs to meet their legal obligations in dealing with designated Internet gambling matters; and
• promote positive user relations with the Internet industry.

Communications Alliance took over the responsibility for the Industry Codes and core responsibilities of the Internet Industry Association (IIA) under an agreement signed on the 24th March 2014. The Interactive Gambling Code was developed by the Internet Industry Association and will be reviewed by Communications Alliance.
