eSafety Commissioner registers Internet Search Engine Services Code

Today, the eSafety Commissioner registered the Internet Search Engine Services Code. The Code is the sixth Code registered as part of a suite of Online Safety Codes.

The Code had been re-submitted in mid-August to reflect the recent developments in relation to generative AI.

The Code comes into effect on 12 March 2024.

Updated Draft Guideline for CSPs on Customer Authorisation to Transfer a Service

Communications Alliance Ltd invites public comment on the following draft Industry Guideline:

• Customer Authorisation Industry Guideline (DR G651:2023).

The draft Customer Authorisation Industry Guideline (DR G651:2023) is designed to provide:

• common information to be provided to all telecommunications Customers before they agree to a Transfer; and
• information to be obtained from the customer or their Authorised Representative for the gaining Carriage Service Provider (CSP) to obtain a valid Customer Authorisation (CA).
