Matthew Enger - 2024 Communications Ambassador

Sydney, 19 July 2024: Matthew Enger, has taken out the communication industry’s most prestigious accolade; being awarded the title of Communications Ambassador 2024 at this year’s ACOMM Awards.

The winners of the 2024 Communications Alliance Awards were announced this evening at the 18th Annual ACOMM Awards Dinner in Sydney. The evening’s keynote address was delivered by the Federal Minister for Communications, The Hon. Michelle Rowland MP.

Matthew Enger is the Managing Director and founder of Leap Telecommunications (Leaptel) and Chair of the Internet Association of Australia Ltd (IAA).

He has been involved in the internet industry from the beginning. As a high school student, Matt moved his school from a dial-up modem to a Linux box running IP masquerade over a 64k ATM link. 

Matt has made long-standing and significant contributions to the internet industry in both Australia and New Zealand. He is dedicated to providing quality internet to Aussie homes and businesses. 

Matt has many years of business leadership, networking engineering, legal compliance and extensive customer care experience through a variety of roles and business ventures and is a very worthy recipient of the Communications Ambassador Award.
