Communications Alliance Members

Communications Alliance and Baker & McKenzie present six seminars introducing topics relevant to the telecommunications industry.

Seminar one: Telecoms Regulation 101 on Tuesday 27 July 2010 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Chris Cheah, Acting Deputy Chair, Australian Communications and Media Authority and Baker & McKenzie speakers will cover:

  • the requirement to hold a carrier licence;
  • key carrier licence conditions;
  • regulation of service providers;
  • key commercial industry codes and the consequences of non‑compliance;
  • consumer protection laws; and
  • contracting models, including standard forms of agreement.
  • Places are limited so we suggest you register early.

Who Should Attend?

Communications Alliance members from business, commercial, legal and regulatory and network divisions. The Forums will be valuable in particular for professionals who have come into the telecommunications industry from other sectors, or for those working in the sector who may not be familiar with a particular topic.
