New Working Committee on Emergency Call Service Requirements
Communications Alliance is seeking Expressions of Interest for representatives for the Emergency Call Services Requirements Code Revision Working Committee (WC25). WC25 is to revise the Emergency Call Services Requirements Code (ACIF C536:2003), including alignment with new obligations in the Telecommunications (Emergency Call Service) Determination 2009.
Information packs and nomination forms for WC25 are available by contacting Communications Alliance. Nominations are requested by Friday 2 July.

Review of Customer Requested Barring Guideline
Communications Alliance is seeking comments for a scheduled review of the Customer Requested Barring Industry Guideline (ACIF G612:2003). This Guideline review aims to identify whether a needs exists to amend the Guideline.
This Guideline defines the customer requested blocking of access from a customer's telephone service to a Carrier's or a Carriage Service Provider's service offering. The comment period closes on Friday 9 July 2010 and comments can be submitted via the ‘Documents under review’ webpage.

Digital Broadcast Interface Guideline published
The Installation of Broadcast Cabling and connection of Digital Broadcast Equipment to a Telecommunications Network Guideline (G642:2010) has been published and is available at Technical CE Standards and Documents.
The new publication provides guidance for the installation of broadcast cabling and digital broadcast interfaces used with digital broadcast equipment intended for connection to a Carrier’s or Carriage Service Provider’s Telecommunications Network.

NBN Project Update
A reminder that comments on the draft NBN Wholesale Service Description Framework – Telephony Access Service paper are due this week. The draft paper is available from the public comment webpage, which includes a link to submit comments.
The Operational working group and the Steering Committee will meet this week.
Interested members are invited to register for the project team, which will also provide full access to the NBN Wiki. Non-member organisations who have an interest in the NBN and meet the eligibility requirements for Communications Alliance membership can register as observers directly on the NBN Wiki.
