Mobile Number Portability Code registered
The Australian Communications and Media Authority have registered the revised Mobile Number Portability Industry Code (C570:2009) under section 117 of the Telecommunications Act 1997. The Code will now be included in the register of industry codes kept under section 136 of the Act. Inclusions in the revised Code include an enhanced Port Recovery process, and the facility for MNP data to be used for fraud prevention or to assist in fraud investigations.

NBN Project Update
The Early Stage Deployments, End User Premises and Wholesale Services working groups will meet this week.
The Early Stage Deployments will review any public comments on its draft FTTP Planning - Express Conduit paper and draft Fibre Ready Distribution Networks paper. The End User Premises working groups will review public comments on the new draft of its End User Premises Handbook.
Interested members are invited to register for the project team, which will also provide full access to the NBN Wiki. Non-member organisations who have an interest in the NBN and meet the eligibility requirements for Communications Alliance membership can register as observers directly on the NBN Wiki.
