Review of the Deployment of Mobile Phone Network Infrastructure Industry Code

Communications Alliance is seeking comments for a scheduled review of the Deployment of Mobile Phone Network Infrastructure Industry Code (ACIF C564:2004). This Code review aims to identify whether a needs exists to amend the Code.

This Code specifies the best contemporary practices in the areas of design, installation and operation of radiocommunications infrastructure used to supply Public Mobile Telecommunications Services. The Code requires the application of a precautionary approach to the deployment of radiocommunications infrastructure and contains obligations on carriers to consult.

Visit http://www.commsalliance.com.au/Documents/Documents-under-Review for details on how to submit comments. Comments close on Tuesday 18 May 2010.

The published paper can be found at http://commsalliance.com.au/Documents/national-broadband-network.

The Operational, Wholesale Services, Early Stage Deployments and Technical working groups will meet this week.

Interested members are invited to register for the project team, which will also provide full access to the NBN Wiki.  Non-member organisations who have an interest in the NBN and meet the eligibility requirements for Communications Alliance membership can register as observers directly on the NBN Wiki.
