Communications Alliance Scheduled Reviews - Comments Sought
Communications Alliance is seeking comments for a scheduled review of the documents below:
Mobile Premium Service (MPS) Code (C637:2011 Incorporating Variation No.1 – 2014)
The Code establishes obligations for appropriate community safeguards and customer service requirements upon suppliers of Mobile Premium Services.
Unconditioned Local Loop Service (ULLS) – Fault Management G572:2007
Describes processes for service providers to record, track and resolve customer and network ULLS faults and to restore services.
Switchless Multibasket Billing Redirection (SMBR) G567:2015
Describes processes for the redirection of billing from the Access Service Deliverer to the Service Provider where billing information is provided to the Service Provider via an SMBR platform.
The aim of the reviews is to identify:
- any existing issues with the Code or Guidelines;
- whether any process improvement is required, from operational experience in dealing with the Code or Guidelines;
- any gaps in the Code or Guidelines;
- clarifications that improve requirements;
- whether the documents are meeting the needs of industry and the community satisfactorily;
- acknowledgement of any existing service-specific barring requirements; and
- expected impact of technology changes.
Comments received will be considered by representatives of stakeholders, to prepare a specific recommendation for Communications Alliance. The outcome of the review will be a decision to revise, reconfirm, vary or withdraw the Code or Guidelines.
Comments on the documents are requested by 5 p.m. (AEST) on Friday 14th October 2016.
