Telecommunications Consumer Protections (TCP) Code Submitted to the ACMA for Registration

Communications Alliance today submitted a revised TCP Code to the Australian Communications and Media Authority as part of a package of revised industry Codes and Guidelines to streamline and improve customer information requirements.

The submission is a near-final step in a lengthy project undertaken by Communications Alliance to streamline customer information requirements via the removal of duplication, overlap or unnecessary obligations.

Communications Alliance has worked with stakeholders constructively since the public comment period in November 2014 to strike a balance between the removal of unnecessary duplication and the retention of appropriate consumer protections.

A number of operational codes were also submitted as part of the package to the ACMA.

The TCP Code, as submitted to the ACMA, can be found here.
