The documents listed below have been classified as "available superseded" which is used for documents that either:
  • may have been revised/amended but are still in force; or
  • are not entirely up-to-date but contain relevant/useful information (and therefore should not be withdrawn), but are not considered sufficiently important for industry to dedicate resources to revise/amend them.

Therefore you should always check the lists of current Communications Alliance publications to make sure that you have the latest version of a document.

It does not cover cables or products used in the network by carriers. It is an updated version of the 2001 edition and has an associated companion guideline available.
